Community & Upload Guidelines

Last updated: 2 August 2026

These guidelines complement the Terms of Service and Creator Terms.

What is welcome

  • Your own lessons, licks, exercises, compositions, backing tracks and presets.
  • Accurate, helpful product descriptions with clear information about what is included.
  • Respectful, factual reviews and comments based on your own experience.

What is not allowed

  • Content for which you lack the necessary rights, including pirated courses, leaked presets, and third-party PDFs, tabs, sheet music or backing tracks.
  • Full reproductions of copyrighted songs' notation or tabs without a licence.
  • Malware, tracking scripts or manipulated files.
  • Misleading descriptions, fake or paid reviews, and manipulative SEO or keyword stuffing.
  • Content that is unlawful, discriminatory, harmful to minors, or that promotes hate, violence or illegal acts.

AI-generated and AI-assisted content

AI content is allowed on Tonecreek, but it is always labelled. When creating or editing a product you must state how it was produced: fully human-produced, AI-assisted or mostly AI-generated. The statement is mandatory, appears on the product page and in the catalog, and buyers can filter by it.

If you choose AI-assisted or mostly AI-generated, you must also provide:

  • the AI tool you used;
  • a description of your own editing of the generated material;
  • confirmation that you hold the commercial usage rights;
  • confirmation that no songs, melodies, voices or recordings are included without authorisation.

Please note: you alone are responsible for holding all commercial usage rights. Tonecreek does not review or warrant that AI-generated content is protected by copyright, and a commercial usage right granted by an AI tool does not automatically mean an exclusive copyright exists. We may ask you for evidence of the tools, plans and rights you used, and we may block or delete content that is unlawful or insufficiently substantiated. You are liable for infringements, incorrect statements and third-party claims.

Volume rules for AI content

So the catalog stays useful for buyers:

  • Automated bulk uploads of AI content are not permitted.
  • A maximum of five AI products per creator and calendar month may be published.
  • Near-identical variants must not be published as individual products.
  • Variants of the same track in a different key, at a different tempo or as a different mix version belong in one product or in a bundle.

We may reject content, remove it from search, merge it or restrict upload rights.

Backing tracks

  • You must hold all rights to the composition, arrangement, recording, samples, stems, MIDI files and cover artwork.
  • Backing tracks must not contain unauthorised adaptations or recognisable imitations of protected songs.
  • Key, tempo or instrumental variants do not automatically count as separate products.
  • Product information such as key, BPM, time signature, chords, playing time and the files included must be accurate.

Music rights - please read

Tabs, sheet music, transcriptions, backing tracks, song analyses, play-alongs, cover versions, samples and presets can affect third-party rights. Publish your own material, or material you are properly licensed to distribute. For well-known songs, keep analysis cautious and do not reproduce full protected notation or tabs without a licence.

Enforcement

We may review content, remove or block violations, and suspend accounts for repeated or serious breaches. You can report problems via our Copyright & Takedown Policy or to info@tonecreek.com.
